Believe it or not, toothpaste is actually good for things other than brushing your teeth. It’s a good thing toothpaste is cheap because you’re going to want to stock up on it after reading this list of 8 unusual ways to clean your house with toothpaste.
#1 – Remove stains from clothes. Apply toothpaste to the stain, spray with some water, and rub the toothpaste into the stain before tossing in the washer.
#2 – Remove scuffs from linoleum. Rub toothpaste onto the scuff marks using either a toothbrush or a dry washcloth. Continue rubbing the scuff mark until all the residue is gone.
#3 – Clean and brighten tennis shoe soles. Use a toothbrush and the toothpaste to scrub the soles of your shoes. Use a damp washcloth to wipe away the toothpaste and your tennis shoes should look almost brand new.
#4 – Shine chrome. Rub some toothpaste onto your bathroom or kitchen faucets, rinse, and you should then be able to see your clear reflection staring back at you.
#5 – Remove hard water and grime from shower doors. Use a sponge and a bit of whitening toothpaste and smear the toothpaste all over the shower door in a circular motion. Rinse off the toothpaste, and you’ll be amazed at how well you can see through the glass again.
#6 – Remove water rings from tables. Wipe the toothpaste around the water ring with a soft cloth, then use a damp cloth to wipe away the toothpaste. Shine the table with some furniture polish and don’t forget to use coasters from now on!
#7 – Whiten refrigerator seals. Use a damp cloth and a dab of whitening toothpaste to bring the brightness back into those refrigerator seals.
#8 – Deodorize baby bottles. You know how some baby bottles have a soured milk smell to them after a while that won’t go away no matter how many times you wash it? Use a water and toothpaste mixture to scrub the inside of the bottle, and it will magically take away the odor.
