I haven’t posted anything in a really long time, but I wanted to pop in here to say that’s going to change. I will be posting here regularly again, and I do hope to make this blog/website the success I hoped it would turn out to be when I first started it.
After my last post, which I believe was back in October 2017, I had a medical issue I had to take care of, which put me out of commission for the last few months. It was nothing serious. I had reconstructive bone surgery on my left foot in an attempt to rid myself of pain I’d been living with for years. However, my recovery from this surgery has not been what I expected it to be. It’s been a long and sometimes hard recovery to get through. Here it is nearing the end of January and I’ve only just been able to put full weight on my foot. It’s hard to walk on my foot still. I hobble more than anything, and I can’t be up on my foot too long before it begins to ache and swells up, so then I have to go sit or lay down and prop my foot up to help with the swelling. It’s a vicious cycle that I hope will come to end sooner rather than later.
Anyway, my mindset hasn’t been in the best place these last few months due to the fact that I’ve been trapped in my house unable to do anything other than sit or lay in bed. I think I’ve had a bit of depression as a result and just haven’t been myself.
Now that things are a bit better, I’m trying to get my mindset back to where it was before my surgery, and I want to meet all the goals I had for myself that I was unable to reach last year, as well as meet all the goals that I have set for myself for this year. Getting this blog back up and running and making it a success is one of those goals.
So stay tuned for more activity from me on this blog and elsewhere on social media. I hope the holidays and the new year were enjoyed by everyone. Here’s to a successful 2018!
